An MIH Call Taker is responsible for effective communication with patients, their families, and their healthcare providers as well as data entry throughout their shift.
This allows patients to be treated directly in their homes to reduce the need for ambulance transportation and hospital stays.
Due to the nature of care needed, SmartCare professionals work as an extension of the patient's medical team and may work closely with the same set of patients and their families.
