Part time opportunities are available! Assistant Teachers responsibilities include support implementing an age appropriate and diverse curriculum that meets the social, emotional and developmental needs of the children in their care.
Assistant Teachers are so responsible for keeping the classrooms app up to date by sharing the highlights of your classroom and communicating with families.
The ability to successfully work close with other Lead Teachers in the program is necessary.
Other responsibilities include:
Monthly team meetings Maintaining a clean and sanitary classroom Provide a welcoming and engaging classroom
Qualifications:
EEC Assistant Teacher or EEC Lead Teacher Certified High School Diploma and working towards a degree in Early Childhood The Mystic Valley YMCA proved eligible employees with:
Onsite, paid professional developmental training a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance Retirement Savings Range of discounted services 11 paid holidays Personal days, sick days, 2 weeks accrued paid vacation Teachers are paid hourly and will receive overtime pay when over 40 hours is physically worked.
Complementary Y Membership Walking Distance from MBTA - Malden Center Pay Scale:
High School Diploma:
$16-$19 per hour depending on experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
