Eliot's Early Intervention Program located in Malden is currently seeking a Relief Teacher.
Responsibilities
Participates in implementing the educational curriculum and other activities of the classroom.
Provides developmentally appropriate levels of supervision, care, and nurturing to children in and outside of the classroom
Maximizes positive interactions with each child both in and outside of the classroom.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and developmentally appropriate environment in the classroom.
Uses supplies and materials of the program in a responsible and cost effective manner.
Maintains a professional relationship with children, parents, other family members, and other staff of the program.
Assists in the preparation, serving, and clean up process for meals and snacks served at the Center.
Complies with all statutes and regulations relevant to the maintenance of educational standards in the Commonwealth, e.g., mandated reporting of abuse and neglect under MGL Chapter 51A.
Attends staff meetings as required.
Completes all work as required work in a timely and professional manner.
Pay:
$12.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday- Friday As needed basis
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following sets of requirements:
have successfully completed three college level credits in the category of Child Growth and Development and have nine months of experience work (or practicum); OR have an Associate's Degree in Child Development Credential; OR have graduated from a two-year high school vocational program in early childhood education, approved by the DCF and have been evaluated and recommended by the program instructor.
The following education may substitute for a portion of the required work
Experience:
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field of study may substitute for six months of the required experience; a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field of study may substitute for three months of the required experience; for infant-toddler teachers, one continuing education unit (10 hours of instruction) in category Infant and Toddler Development, Care and/or Program Planning may substitute for three months of work experience. To be qualified as a preschool teacher, three months of the required work experience must be in care giving to preschool age children. To be qualified as an infant/toddler teacher, three months of the required work experience must be in care giving to infant/toddlers.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
