The Eliot Early Intervenition Program of Eliot Community Human Services in Malden is seeking a Developmental Specialist. This provides a muliti disciplinary supports to children under three and their parents
Responsibilities:
Identifies, screens, and evaluates performance of infants and children using standard measures.
Develops and ensures follow up of treatment goals from the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in the home.
Plans are developed in accordance with the requirements of the funding source, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the family.
Provides intervention in the areas of cognition, social behaviors, perceptual motor skills, and learning style.
Provides transdisciplinary services to families and children enrolled in the Early Intervention Program.
Utilizes a team approach to planning and treatment with families, physicians, and agencies.
Provides assessment/reports, IFSP's, progress notes, and insurance verification reports within established timelines.
Provides in service training to other team members within areas of expertise.
Maintains client records in accordance with Department of Public Health and ECHS protocols.
Attends staff development and professional seminars and meetings to maintain or upgrade professional skills.
Attends staff meetings as required.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Pay: $37,000 per year
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development/Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration or considerable experience in infancy/early childhood. Previous experience working with 0 - 3 age group. Meets third party and Department of Public Health, Early Intervention Program regulations criteria. Must have good clinical documentation skills and be able to meet deadlines.
